According to reports arsenal are set to appoint former psg coach unai emery as their new manager. Is he the right man for the job?

It`s confirmed today that Emery is the new Arsenal manager. He has an excellent record with Sevilla and PSG over the last few seasons but will have a lot of work to do to restore the Gunners fortunes in the PL and the CL. Time will tell whether he will be able to do that.

Another London club with a new manager is West Ham who have appointed former Man City and Villareal boss Manuel Pellegrini. He will have a big rebuilding job to do there.

Did it say how long his contract is for? If he manages to win a trophy or finish in the top 4 in his first season then he would have worked miracles imo. I would think he needs to buy a good holding midfielder and a central defender first. But sometimes different managers get the same players to play better.

Not confirmed how long his contract is for yet but there`s due to be a press conference shortly where that will be announced. Interestingly Emery is the same age (46) as Wenger was when he took charge back in 1996. The Gunners will be hoping that is a good omen.

Fulham are back in the PL after beating Aston Villa 1-0 in the play off final at Wembley today. They join Wolves and Cardiff in the top flight next season and this result also means no return to the PL for John Terry, not with Villa anyway.
