Would be nice to see him back with Utd and arsenal coming, however, would have liked to Ghana doing well must be disappointing to let in two goals so late

I heard those two names okay, Chris was not mentioned in that conversation but Ghana were looking like they may qualify at the time. Who ever was saying it on the radio was saying carsleys lack of full international management, working with one of the best squads in a great set up is very different to managing Ireland. On the other hand he seemed to think carsley might understand our young squad better than Lennon who would be more old school…as always, hard to know who is right
QUOTE=Ketchup2023;4152693]The latest report i heard was that he's out of the running for the ireland job. That its between lee carsley and neil lennon. Did any of ye hear that? Not sure if its true or not.[/QUOTE]

Not sure about Hughton myself, hasn't done too well since Brighton.
Think Carsley is the man for the job but would he leave a good job, in a good setup at England u-21s to walk into the shitshow that is the FAI.
Also Southgate was u-21 manager before taking over the senior team, I've seen some talk that the FA hope Carsley will follow the same path and take over the senior team 1 day.
