I was just about to post something like the above.
I am plenty old enough to remember but needed the internet to tell me - - Rathbane.
Big Sam was player manager of Limerick FC(his first venture into management) in 1991/1992when they won the League of Ireland, First Division .
He made 23 appearances for Limerick and scored 3 goals.
He moved on to become assistant manager of Preston.

10,000 years of Middle Eastern civilisation and the place is not at peace but rather in pieces.

He had to get the job in fairness as he and the other candidate Bruce had some record in their
managerial careers in England with both never winning a trophy and their win rate was something
like 32% so he should be a big hit for England. Before the experts say I am wrong I know they won
Promotion with Notts county and Hull but never won a major Trophy.

I used to like Mou, he was more handsome before he went totally grey.
but still I am more of a city type of girl.
lets see what they'll do this season.
Shay Given retired from international football yesterday, after 20 years and 134 caps.
He will concentrate on the year remaining on his Stoke contract.

Let hope men and ladies LIVERPOOL TEAM have a great season and hope Everton and Man Utd has a disaster as it would be icing on cake....
Well done Dundalk with a 3-0 win over Bate tonight. It was one of the best displays by a LOI team that I have seen.
Bate have been playing Champions League football with 5 of the last 7 years and I think they beat Barca 3-0 last year.
