If all the missed chances had been taken the score on the night could have been 3-3 and Liverpool should have been awarded a penalty just before Longs goal. Still whats done is done. It has been a bad month for the Reds and they have yet to win against a Premier League team in 2017. I think they will put out a reserve team against Wolves in the FA Cup at the weekend with the Chelsea PL match coming up a few days later, so another bad result could be on the cards.

So Man Utd just got through to the Final despite the defeat tonight. The Final will be a repeat of the 1976 FA Cup Final when Southampton were in the old second division, but ended up with the trophy. A similar result may well happen this time as Utd were far from impressive tonight and will need to greatly improve by the time the Final comes around.
