Hate to say it, but he should have retired in 2016 after the Euros, he was a massive reason for Sunderland's two consecutive relegations. Fine player though during his Man Utd years, and desperately unlucky to miss out on both the 2002 and 2010 World Cups so narrowly

There is a season and a time for all things.
A time to stay and a time to go.
A time to speak and a time for silence.
A good footballer should know when to hang up his boots.
A good online poster should know when to retire, not his pencil but his touchscreen.
Sadly Stonie and I are not good posters.

After a disappointing few days for English clubs in UEFA semi finals, Arsenal and Chelsea will be hoping to do better in the first legs of the Europa League semi finals tonight. The Gunners have been on a very poor run of results since Easter but may get a draw against Valencia. I will go for a 1-1 result. The Blues may get a narrow win over Eintracht Frankfurt. I will predict a 1-0 scoreline.
    The Truth is out there.

Arsenal have come from behind to lead against Valencia 2-1 at half time. Chelsea, with Hazard left on the bench, have equalised against Frankfurt so 1-1 at half time there. All to play for in the second halves of both matches.
    The Truth is out there.
