Yes, this is the equivalent of Gerrard or Carragher wanting to leave Liverpool or Giggs asking to leave Man Utd while at their peak. It seems that this could turn nasty with a legal battle looking likely over the terms of Messi`s contract. I wonder if it does get sorted out could he link up with his old boss Guardiola at Man City.
