Yeah, just saw on this thread, ol'Todger finally stopped swimming and sank.
No big surprise there.
And here comes the science bit.
Sharks, being a relatively ancient order of fishes don't have a swim bladder and do indeed have to keep swimming or they will indeed sink.
Also sharks have no bone in their bodies, only cartilage.
So in effect, Todger had no backbone.
And being a shark, would have had no todger either.
