Jeez - that "female manager" looked like a mean piece of work, hmmm?
I didn't say I was in agreement, I said some of the facts were probable. Some ladies are not in this industry having a great time. There must be understanding for that too, otherwise we are just as bad as the people who seek to criminalise us. Here is money to be earned in escorting, therefore there will be criminality. One of the main issues with criminalisation is it pushes the sex worker further into a no contact situation.

I fell asleep so haven't watched it yet, but I have recorded it. The main problem with most programmes and likely this one too, is that they are never balanced. There may be some truth in what they say (which was already protected through the law with regards to trafficking), but they never show that there are SW's working of their own free will, they never use look at the true stats for trafficking or as you say the law changing as with Northern Ireland's new law can work to increase problems for trafficked victims, not help them.

I'll watch this tomorrow when I have an active brain, but I doubt I'll be far wrong with my expectations. Nothing to do with denial that there are those out there that need protecting and are protected with the current law, more to do with why is there this problem with the current law not working and why do they think changing it will make it more effective?

Your right Lucy as much as we like to think everything is rosy in the garden and these programs exaggerate everything we especially us clients have to realise that while alot of ladies are in this business of their own accord. There are ladies who have no choice in the matter and as clients we have a responsibility to do our part to report any cases we feel don't seem right. As hard as it might be for some. I'll probably get crucified for that but fuck it.

you really should watch it before making statements like this. I found it very factual and as balanced as such a subject which does lend itself to being sensational can be.
People lend weight to your opinion because you are an escort, and dismissing it out of hand without seeing it is not constructive and looks bad.

Excellent post. Very true, and the websites advertising these ladies have a moral responsibility to accept feedback, rather than sweep and delete. There is no point trying to get on soap boxes about the safety of women when you blatantly ignore the safety of the people advertising with you. It's obvious from the get go when someone is placing adverts for multiple ladies. It's obvious from when you start deleting reviews and comments all is not well with them. You need a clean house before you scream rights.
