People in border towns used to travel to the likes of Enniskillen for shopping as the exchange rate favoured them, now the tables have turned. You will see on many shops in Monaghan, the exchange rate for £/euro as they now accept payment in £, as so many shoppers are visiting the South to do their shopping.
