I saw Spectre the other night and thought it was good but not great. The opening sequence in Mexico was fantastic but after the credits the film slowed down considerably. I don't think Oberhauser was a particularly effective villain and the plot didn't really have any tension or sense of building towards any sort of climax like the old Bond movies.

Much preferred Skyfall which had a great villain and a great finale too.

Christoph Waltz is a born bond villan but that aside I found it hard to stay interested.
The story behind Skyfall kept me hooked, that and the 2 brief moments of cimatographic brilliance by the Dop

Spectre was well meaning with its allusions to 'classic' bond but fell short. Horribly formulaic without quite enough pizazz as expected from a Bond film. Daniel Craig is very much the physical actor but lacks the charisma required to lead the audience to suspend ALL disbelief.
What if "It's Raining Men" and 'Let the bodies hit the floor' are both about the same event but from different perspectives 🤔

You should have gone to see Shakespeare in Love instead!

I enjoyed Bond, but then I didn't expect too much either...

Next week I am going to see Brooklyn. Wanna come?

    Saw it tonight, good film.

One thought that struck me while watching. Daniel Craig isn't exactly handsome, is he ?
