I constantly forget about my mortality. Not sure if that is a good thing. The thought of mortality suddenly puts a lot of things into perspective.
What matters to people when they stare death in the face ? Probably all the things they took for granted .
To have gone through life, not to have loved and been loved, must be the worst.
None of us tend to think of our own mortality when we are younger. Then we get older and have accumulated enough regret to get in the way of thinking about it properly.

I just mean that by the stage we become conscious of our mortality we've reached a stage where we spend more time looking backwards than forwards. Generally. Part of the human condition I think
