I have done the same in the past, I have not actually made the appointment that day, just quizzed them on few things but we got on so well they might say you call tomorrow to see me ... and if wasnt free I'd text them back say something's come up, keeps them keen and they think its a nice thing to do and youre a gentleman but have actually met most of them at later date and they would comment on what a nice touch it was.
