A monumental event that precipitated entirely where we are today, ref Europe, migrants etc.

I was there, not in 90, but before and witnessed first hand, the towers, the guards etc.
Berlin was a lively place in those days

I hear Berlin is rocking nowadays too !!

I hear it's a Huuuuge city ? Great place to visit ?

But somehow I do not feel an affinity for the German language , feels foreign to my soul x

I doubt if you are on your own there. A cold, mechanical, rule loving people who get their pool towels down over the deck chairs in a premeditated and efficient manner .

I was there with my fiance and his Mum. Some where there is a picture of me with a hammer in my hand knocking a bit of the wall out and a guard looking over at me with a frown from the other side. The atmosphere was electric and I was a little scared too, as I was so young and had read all the memorials of people that had been shot trying to cross over. I still have some of the bits of wall some where.

Was at home following closely on tv, within a year of the fall visited Berlin twice, what an amazing city!
