I met a Czech escort once who had holidayed in nearly every country in Europe and also in other parts of the world(partly thanks to Irish guys no doubt;-) and she said it made her realise, that her own country was probably as good as anywhere and the place for her.
Australians had a bad attitude to Aboriginal people for a long time.
If they had ,had a larger indigenous/native population , they probably would have come across much as white South Africans used to.
Since the 1960s they have had an increasingly inflated sense of their own importance.
Dunno if they still refer to themselves as the "Lucky Country".
I've always wanted to retire in Madagascar.I just love the place, its people ,the weather and the way of life in general .I even bought a farm there on the north shore. I lived there full time for a while after I retired .But my health deteriorated and required some monitoring.
I had to come back.
Now I can split my time between here and there, and I truly say I have the best of both word. If I was believer I'd say I am blessed !
Indeed it does, although quite funnily it actually has a stable currency.

Although I was more thinking about a particular island that popped up off the coast of Pakistan thanks to an earthquake recently. Just to think, no parasitic government interfering in my life, stealing 50%+ of what I earn, and inflating the cost of living at every turn. Also no central bank making me poorer and poorer year after year through inflation. Oh I can dream....
I've been there. It was probably the most fun I had on a holiday ever.
I'd love to live there for the sake of the amazing local people I met, but being a staunch libertarian/anarchist, the government would be a little bit of a problem.
