We are quite different from Irish of the 1950s as they were from people generations before.
Times change and we are best to adapt and move on. The good old days always have their bad points too.
I whilst not quite decrepit have seen quite a few changes, the rise of mobile phones and the Internet to ubiquity, the spread of variations of the so called Dart accent to places even beyond Dublin, an increase in PC attitudes and ideas of health and safety that would have been ludicrous a couple of decades ago , the decline of certain aspects of pub culture and many other things.
Change always brings good and bad things.
Embrace the good and minimise the bad and move on.
you never answered the question tho
what will us the next generation of Irish be know as ?????????????????
