Agreed who in there right mind would continue punting if you could be placed on a list with the pedos and rapist scum. But as I said it was rejected.
I'm very interested in these comments. If you can, could you please try and find a link that shows exactly what was proposed and rejected?

As someone said, the site is offshore, so there will be no real risk of prosecution for EI, but I do think it could change the way that the site is used. If the police (north or south) decide to get serious about trying to catch people, the site as it is now would be a golden resource for them, and in those circumstances people would have to change how they communicate.

I think people will think carefully about things like whether PM, email or phone arrangements are most easily intercepted (Probably phone is safest).

I imagine references could become much more important, for both escort and client.

People may talk much less openly on the site about who they have visited etc, because if police are able to prove the link between an individual and a user name, they can gather a wealth of evidence about their activities. I am not sure that I would post reviews that "admitted" criminal activity, unless the site provided very convincing anonymity mechanisms.

Probably be no need to tax and insure the car once this comes in. With all the gardai out policing consenting couples, they won't have anybody left to man the checkpoints.
My wife caught me wearing ladies underwear and threatened to leave me.
So I packed up all her clothes
    And left.

Well for those that kiss and tell, it's certainly time to stop using exact time and date. It's like a signed confession, except that there are so many fake reviews, be difficult to prove anything.

People don't care, Frances Fitzgerald was incompetent in all her previous posts so looking to make out she actually can do something even though she may feel its unjust.
She has got no morals, when had FG, and its votes that count with an election just around the corner.
She and the rest of FG are just spineless

We would be naive to think otherwise, the power and funding of the people behind this are of course the religious, smarting from there defeat in the SSM referendum, they no doubt take comfort in this retrograde law and its true, "religion poisons everything" (Hitchens RIP) Even MichaelD who is a supposed athiest, recognises the political expediency in seeing this through.
I think that EEI site will need to redesign with more coded security to protect its income source, escort advertising fees.

Likely in her own mind Frances Fitzgerald will think she is taking the right/appropriate course of action.
And all ministers for Justice have to be seen to be tough on something and to take action on something.
