What is your definition of "loads"?
If you look at the other side of Dublin you will see a large town, Bray whose punters also have to travel. The 2011 census population was 19,960 for Balbriggan and its environs.
In April 2011 Bray alone had a population of 31,872! This is much larger than Balbriggan but you will hardly ever see escorts working their either. The guys there have to travel to Sandyford for their nearest punt.
It comes down to a couple of things - the availability of suitable accommodation and the volume of clients being the main two. Business economics dictate where the ladies will go to work
