Born in Portumna Co Galway.
Has 3 irish caps and played 11 times for the second tier Wolfhounds.
Also has underage caps and according to Wikipedia has an All-Ireland minor hurling medal from Galway v Cork 2000.
I remember he got another Irish call up a few years ago but had to drop out due to an injury .
Two of the caps were against USA. and Canada in 2009.

A lot of the Leinster fans were kinda of agreeing too.
And how quaint that all three scored yesterday.
I started this thread at the start of the season in hope that we would have a good season and qualify, in our own right, for the Champions Cup
But this season exceeded all expectations

Rob Kearney might be World Class few years ago, but lately rather below average, along with brother Dave Kearney....can name good few other Leinster players too

If we say (sorry Willie) average Connacht players working extremely hard able to play much better rugby than the International "stars" something is very wrong in Joe Schmidt's head.....

Looking forward to see how they doing in Heineken next season.

The Kearney,s are gone I think and it will do neither them or Ireland any good going to SA. Now was the time to bring some new fresh players and blood them
I,m thinking Schmidt is too conservative
The coaching sett up in Connacht is the best sett up in Ireland and parents around the country are trying to get their sons into our academy
Had a chat with someone from Leinster (who is in the know how) about this.He told me about one or 2 of the young players we have just , are going to be fantastic.
Look Ultan Dillane was discarded by Munster and told he had no future , now there is talks in the paper about him maybe going on next years Lions Tour and after the Saturday you can see why.
Well they might surprise a few in the Champion,s cup , they play a style that is great to watch and the more they play that way the better they become

So much for my prediction last week. Connacht fully deserved their win at Murrayfield and Leinster never looked like they could stop them. Amazing to think that just 13 years ago they were on the brink of going out of existence. Anyway I would say the celebrations will last for some time there before it will be all steam ahead for next season.

I think he is still feeling it as he is out of Irelands tour. I said a few months back that I fear for Sexton

with the amount of hits he takes and in fairness to him he is pretty brave.
