they wouldnt lower themselves. in fairness, although not to my taste, a few have been successful on xfactor and all those shows that have gained international stardom and are talented at the same time.
i think it benefits artists/bands to graft though. you want to hear their own views on how their life is and the struggle to get heard through their music. all good music should make you feel something and if its not coming from them themselves, and while they might do a brilliant job of singing it, it takes away something from the song.
there are of course exceptions.

and john peel was a big hero of mine but he has been implicated in one of the offshoots to the official yewtree operation. young girls but not child-child young, 15 and 16 i think. but hes dead now so nothing can be proven.

Whatever list they pull together probably won't shock me. The only name that shocked me with this last one was Cliff Richard.
It's a shame about peel, the guy was instrumental in the breakthrough of so many brilliant acts.

cliff richard is an innocent man. he wasnt linked to any of that shit. that was one singular person who made a claim and i would be AMAZED if it was to turn out to be true. cliffs no michael barrymore
