I read a book recently which referenced a genetics study, this found that yes, while we get our parents genes, we inherit the personality of our fathers mother. Which made me giggle, we surely have a few reincarnations here. Do you resemble your gran?

I don't remember my Dad's Mum, as she died when I was very little. By all accounts she sounds like a vile woman though, so I kind of hope that isn't true. My Mum's Mum was lovely though, so hopefully I got some of her genes and personality.

You had a Gran alright but just never got the chance to meet her, pity because the 4 grandparents were great and I was so lucky to have knew them and still have very fond memories of them

My Dad's mum only passed away a few years ago but was also a vile woman. She believed my dad married beneath his class & disowned him & us.
My mums mum was a lovely woman but sadly passed before I was born

Dunno, she died the year I was born.
I assume the two events were unrelated.
Probably should ask my Dad, though
