Maps & Safety

The perception of maps is that they are too detailed and therefore put escorts at risk.

Although the data we use IS randomized and not accurate to street level (we don’t even have this data), the idea that “even a broken watch is right twice a day” stands here and even the odd occasion where the map is accidentally accurate it can cause discomfort for advertisers.

We have however had a lot of positively around the idea of the maps, but there are some comments that need to be given respect and we will discuss how to best deal with any worries raised.

We are currently building a feature to allow escorts to remove themselves from the map. This will be pushed out in the first set of updates.

Remove me from the map & never post my location again on a map. I cannot see any escort being happy that her location has been disclosed. Bloody ridiculous notion & it should never have been implemented.

new site is dreadful, do they want to drive escorts and clients away? it give you a headache using it and searching for escorts at present. really dreadful, wont be using it very often if it stays like this... old one was great

totally agree.

as someone who designs websites, this new build is terrible. It looks as if they purchased some sort of ready made PHP engine to run the site and just customized it with their own logos etc.

really really really terrible and counter productive, even when you click on the old theme it's slightly different and not as good as it was.

The good thing I have international phone calls, the bad thing the whole day passed and I still can't access the forum properly from my phone and tablet!

The disastrous thing...the whole aspect of the new site and that you can't find anything in it quickly

Re reviews it's a bit like trip advisor now with stars....joke, who will read?!?! it was straightforward before, clients seen the number than one click and seen if it's positive or negative...

Imagine, if our “broken watch” was to show an escort’s (false) location next door to some DUP/TORL/ETC house?

We seem to have lost the list of escorts who have updated their profile or changed or moved location.

This was very useful to browse because it gave advance warning of escorts who may have moved close to your area.

Now it would be necessary to check through all your local/close area to get the same information.

Adding my tuppence... If a website update isn't as intuitive, easy to navigate and have all the same features as it's predecessor it's failed. So far the updates seem to favour aesthetics over function. It is neither intuitive nor has the same breadth of function as the old site, to my mind this 'upgrade' is a failed attempt to revamp the website or a deliberate downgrade to the functionality. The additions seem to be nothing more than fluff to distract from the reduced or obfuscated info such as the reviews and the random map locations.

Both sites should have been run in tandem for a while even if with just a selected group of real world users testing. More overhead for updates by staff (Ad and Dev team) but at least then there could have been user input before pushing this failure onto us all...
