I made a seemingly innocent remark to a relative about my niece of about 30 - something like 'it would be great for her to marry and have kids.'

Well it was as if I had stepped on a landline - was told to mind my own business and that some people make conscious decisions not to have kids etc

So I dig further and say surely her life will not be complete or fulfilled without kids - anyway that landed me further in the Dudu...

So what is the story out there or is it too sensitive a subject for here as well ?
But does standing on the landline slow the broadband, id be pissed too if thats the case

None of mine are depends on social background some see kids as lifestyle others want collage life travel security before kids

To be blunt Guess it's a case if u want to support ur kids or let the government do it those who pay for the own kids tend to wait unless unplanned

Kids mean different things to different people — personally what I hate is where young girls see kids as an answer to to getting a free house payed for by the taxpayer!

I was in my early 20's when I had my baby, but my partner was in a well paid and secure job, so no need to wait. I'm glad I had him young, as it's meant that I've been able to do what I like in my late 30's to now and still young enough to enjoy it without having to worry too much. I know I was lucky, although not so lucky when I split up with his Dad, but you can't really predict that and I think that is a problem, when you start off financially secure and something comes along to change that. That could happen to you in your 30's or 40's as well though. I wouldn't want to be in my 40's with a young child and divorced. Sounds knackering.

Like Robbie Williams said on being present at his child's birth. It was like watching your favourite pub burn down.

Don't have any kids, never wanted kids, I'm very happy with my life, I wouldn't change or make any other choices, so no, not all women are maternal. Do I think I have missed out on anything, no, far from it.

Please do what you can for her daughter. Deeply appreciated.
