I willing made an informed personal decision to become an escort, nobody coerced me, I work of my own free will & it will be my decision when to stop. I am not a victim nor do I need 'rescuing'. I am white, but I wouldn't consider myself from a privileged background, I come from a working class family. I am educated, I even went to University, I knew exactly what I was doing when I started working as an escort.

My solution to the trafficking problem, as I said many, many times before, is make every sex worker buy a licence. The true independent will have no issues with having to buy a licence to work in Ireland. Traffickers would run a mile if they had to buy licences for their girls. It would be much more cost effective for the government, easier to police for the Gardai, hence a 'win win' situation all round.

The thousands & thousands that has been spent on this legislation is ridiculous, a licence system could be up & running in no time with very little outlay.

You made a willing decision but can you vouch that every other escort did? It's apparent from reading the forum and reviews that most clients care little for the provenance of escorts. Hence prosecuting clients makes the only sense.
