Probably the exact same as you did.

Pissed off about the whole thing as I had been setting it up since yesterday afternoon and looking forward to a meeting with her all ruined because of some suited prick asking questions :/

I probably would have instinctively reverted back to my army training and went all Jason Bourne on him.

what is a doorman going to do?
I was already at the keypad talking to her on the phone when I couldn't hear correctly, I texted her, went back to the keypad and that's where the confusion started as she didn't tell me the number to put in, just the floor number and room and couldn't tell if it was 4 digits or 3, that's when the suited man came out. I say I'm away to see a friend and he asks who and where? He sees a lot of people going in and out, he could be a complete jobsworth and contact the police getting her in trouble.

In hindsight yes but so bloody pissed off with the whole situation as it's something I've never encountered before and now I'm gonna have to ask if where the girl stays has doormen and stay away from that building :/

Lots of these ladies are crazy when it comes to keypad codes/door entry codes ....not to mention which is left and which is right.(Some are fine however)
But a doorman is an extra stumbling block ive yet to encounter.

Get the instructions texted to you if there are any communication problems otherwise don't go, I wont. Messing around at the door is a no no.

A similar sort of thing happened to me last week. I went to see a new girl in an apartment block I had not visited before. I found the building and parked up close by, phoned the girl and she told me floor number etc. I ambled across the road and opened the door to see a doorman sitting behind a desk, I must admit it surprised me but I calmly walked over to the lift and entered the floor number. It was then that I noticed the doorman was talking to someone, I turned around and near what myself. Sitting there were two PSNI officers !!! I calmly turned back around and prayed to every god known to man for the lift diors to open. It felt like forevere but they eventually did, I made it to the floor where the girl was waiting, we agreed it might not be best to go through with the appointment so I turned and ran the gauntlet again.

Certainly got the old pump going, hopefully they wont be there when I go back on Weds, well she IS cute ...

Another way round that would just be to make sure you didn't leave at an expected leaving time, so not exactly half an hour later or an hour later, but a bit before or after. Or have something with you when you leave, like a book, so it looks like you've just picked something up. Maybe take a bag in with you and be holding the contents on the way out etc.

Yeah, was thinking the same so might take a bag or a folder. I was also gonna take the lift a couple of floors down and walk the rest.
