You are sooooo wrong. I checked this place out over 2 years ago and there was a doorman there then. I spoke to him. I also know of a friend who had booked to stay there and had to leave for the very same reason. That is how I know they have some serviced apartments there. No plants, no gathering evidence. What on earth makes you think they would have the money to employ someone purely for this reason? I think they have bigger fish to fry.

You should not have panicked, he is a door man not a land lord. You are there to see a resident and thats all he has the right to know. You should be expecting this sort of thing if your going punting.Try not to freak out next time most places have door staff now.

yeah "I'm going to see a friend", "what room?", now I told him fuck all but how many people you think have actually shit it and answered, he clicks several solo males going up to the same room during the day for 30 mins each. doesn't take a brain surgeon to work this out.

Another way round that would just be to make sure you didn't leave at an expected leaving time, so not exactly half an hour later or an hour later, but a bit before or after. Or have something with you when you leave, like a book, so it looks like you've just picked something up. Maybe take a bag in with you and be holding the contents on the way out etc.

Yeah, was thinking the same so might take a bag or a folder. I was also gonna take the lift a couple of floors down and walk the rest.

I was replying to the guy. As for the room number, I didn't hear it correctly and she text it. I had it in my head so I didn't have my phone out when going to key it in, I get a sudden interrogation and momentarily forget the room number. As I mentioned already.

To be fair, if you had told him the room number it would have buggered it up for her. Better just to say you're visiting a friend and you know where you're going.
