How clued- in or how desperate are some of these drug mules though?
I would guess that quite a few would not know about potential death penalties for drug trafficking in places like Malaysia. Nor might they be astute enough to even Google where they're going.Just a case of take this luggage through customs , get money ,in their heads.

She had a laptop, I assume she could easily have used it before. But since she is a model, I doubt she was a drug carry mule. I'd say it was just personal use and she took a chance of not being found.

Either way, poor girl, I hope she won't get killed for something so minor. A slap on the wrist, a fine and a serious threat about what's going to happen if she does it again should suffice.
