I prefer a city or activity holiday myself- even a cruise can be nice.

Although July August may be too hot for a city holiday

I'm just back from my holiday , it was to Killarney!

great game of golf there, 3 holes over water & he cleared them each time no bother , !

Pattaya, you've a city and a beach within walking distance and a couple of other beaches a 20 min moto taxi away. Not to mention constant sun for 9 months of the year
