Ireland is completely different from England and these are small towns, you will have quiet and busy periods like everything else and does take time to adjust.
May I ask what other towns you have been in or is this your first since here. Was there any difference?

I seem to remember the local newspapers in Wexford running front page stories on the activities of punters and escorts in the county (particularly wexford town), even pouncing on punters coming and going from apartments. Wexford died after that from what I can recall.

I used to look forward to working in Wexford as it was always a great spot for punting. Used to meet a nice girl there for a few hours on a thursday or Friday night and then head to the casino for a game of cards. Happy times. Not been there in about 5 or 6 years though. Shame tho hear its gone downhill.

Although the local women in Wexford town are so easy, that could be the reason the escorts have lost business there as well.
