I had an experience where a young pup snatched my phone on the half penny in the middle of the day. A group of girls on a hen party screamed "Get that boy" before I even realised what had happened. And a security man from the pub nearby grabbed them and got my phone back. I was shell shocked and was waiting for a friends. The girls from the hen party offered for me to sit with then in a restaurant nearby till my friend arrived.

I wouldn't hand it in, I'd leave my name and number and maybe whether it was a small or large amount of cash.

My local supermarket doesn't trust anybody, they even put security tags on potatoes. I don't trust them either.
