    What do you think.........."Fitzy"??????
Another thing I would like to see is cyclists having to have insurance on there vehicle. So when they run a red light and knock a pedestrian down the victim can be compensated . Maybe a small road tax as well so these people can contribute to the up keep and maintenance of the streets and roads they use.

I reckon this can be done like cars. All bikes have reg numbers on the chassis. simple thing to do is, you reg your bike like a car, pay €30, after all they use the roads and the roads have to be maintained. So when stopped re an offence check chassis number......but then when do we ever do things right here. Heard a guy on the radio making a point that a car is heavier than a bike, and hence when a bike goes through a RED LIGHT, its NOT going to do damage......... says it all re mentality of cyclists. Sad to say, but I feel an awful lot of cyclists deaths are due to reckless cycling, and down to taking risks, like going through a red light etc.
