but would you, its different when youre there and she was bigger than me, what would happen if they pulled a knife and stabbed you, i know it probably wouldnt happen but its at the back of your mind.

You did the right thing - don't make the situation worse than it is, don't know the circumstances but walking away from trouble seems to have been the best option.
