I'm not sure why you use investment as a word, since you're not going to use that for any business puroposes, unless maybe hoping the villa value will increase in time and you could get a profit when selling it back, which is very possible, depending as well on the area you like to buy.

But fun wise, sure, it should be quite nice to have a place to have fun, Romania is a beautiful country with beautiful women.

It's all very well saying that to someone resident, but if you are only some where for a few days and paying to be there, plus the transport to be there, it's not good business sense to just stop working. It could be an emotional upset rather than feeling under the weather and if it is someone making them feel bad, it's a bit like letting that person win, by making you lose money on top of the emotional upset.
