The only thing that stands in the way of my happiness, my complete happiness, is probably MYSELF.

Every other reason I could think of was just an excuse to avoid accepting responsibility for my own happiness.

What are the things that stand between you and complete happiness?

It is impossible to attain complete happiness in this life, there are too many obstacles and unknowns. Everybody will suffer
grief and the death of loved ones along the way, u may have moments of great happiness with achievements u succeed in
but u will also have the lows of failures and disappointments .We all depend on a certain amount of input from others for our
happiness eg relationships etc and how those close to us react at different times affects us and we have no control over that.
The very best u can hope for is contentment with odd moments of great joy and happiness and if u achieve that i think u can say that ure life went rather well

Personality will have a big influence on happiness

And like a lot of other things , there will be a big genetic input into personality.

So if you are happy go lucky, happy as a mud lark, happy as the day is long or indeed happy as a pig in shite,
give a little silent thank you to the random mix of chromosomes you inherited from mammy and daddy,
(and if by chance you inherited a big wad of cash from them as well, shout out a big loud thank you as well ....coz you may well indeed be a happy fucker).
