I once had an escort become extremely excited and aggressive on the phone almost screaming that I wasn't Irish. She even came out with the immortal line "all you foreigners are thieves".Her own origins afaik lie well outside Europe.I now avoid her like the plague for that and one other reason.
Some Eastern Europeans can appear a bit gruff and a little unfriendly to us Irish.There are probably cultural and language differences involved too.I remember on one of my infrequent visits to a restaurant being served by a dead eyed, disinterested, desultory, drab waitress, but who (when I was paying the bill and about to leave) suddenly became animated and alive , when I asked about the origin of the name on her nametag (Russian)
