Ohh, I can't live without FB at the moment , that's the only way I keep in touch with friends from my past and some friendly exes. With current friends it's a bonus, one more avenue of keeping in touch.

But I put everything (bar my profile pic) on private, so nobody can see stuff or other photos unless I decide to change the privacy settings or befriend some people.

I can understand tho why other ladies are being even more concerned with privacy than I am, I really don't really care that much of someone knows I'm an escort. My mom is not on FB and anybody from my friend list if they find out, while I'll be a bit embaressed, I still won't care that much, my best friends there know anyway.

I gave up the idea of having a real private life here anyway in a few years I'll reconsider my options.

I purposely don't check or use FB on my phone as a means to protect my privacy. Between my laptop and tablet, I can always stay up to date on this devices. Facebook, in one of their many famous terms and conditions updates, changed their policy for mobiles, allowing them to access EVERYTHING on your mobile, even things that you didn't post on Facebook. So it's not surprising to read here that other people have had their profiles suggested to others via their phone's contacts lists.

I also do as my fellow Superhero Tony Stark does, and I always ignore FB's occasional prompts to put my phone number into their system for 'additional security'-- it seems that it would be the least 'secure' thing I could do in regards to protecting my privacy.

So I'm scrolling through my Facebook feed and on the "people you may know" section theres an escort I have met through this site a good few times. Seems like a genuine account with her real name and personal pics etc. but we have no common Facebook friends and she's not Irish either (which I am)

Anyone any info on how this happens? Does FB drill down into sites you visit and be able to single out one escort? even if it did that her personal FB account would hardly be linked to EI??

I am paranoid about my data - so have a fake name and you can't find me without my e-mail unless we have mutual friends. I did this before I ever started working, as this is where the german part of me shows up as they tend to be very careful about their data.
