They make them to make money, it all boils down to greed & power.
Greed and power were often of evolutionary use in the past particularly if people were able to disguise it (humans have to work together after all) but when dealing with the huge populations of today and the way we consume resources , greed and quests for power may lead to our ultimate downfall.
But as I said in the past and even now greed and power have been useful for individuals. That is why they live on in us.
From a male point of view, being greedy may lead to accumulating more material assets and hence appearing more attractive as a potential mate.And males with power are often attractive to women - powerful, accumulating males in the past may open have had more children than average , thus passing on their tendencies and genetics for greed and dominance.
So we're probably all doomed- but might as well enjoy the ride while we're here.
Eudaemonism (possibly misspelled ) is the word for the above.
And continuing in that regard , the money is burning a hole in my pocket.I must use this site for what it's really intended before it crashes or something again.
