People who voted no have a democratic right to vote the way they will....but, consider this, To the guys on here. The Iona "Inst" and the other extreme right wing groups now consider you part of their "constituency"...are you?
Yoll you be voting for Ronan melted welly face Mullins in GenElect16?

Most of you's probably married yet come here to cheat because your not man enough to be honest in your own relationships.
Yet you's think you have the right to judge others who genuinely love & want to marry their partners.

Very proud that Ireland got it right
So you're disgusted with me, but you'd still be intimate with me for money?
I'm not married, marriage to me is what I learned it to be, from my parents and grandparents. An exclusive loving relationship between a man and woman. To date I have not met anyone that I would forsake all others for, and untill I meet that person, I'll remain unmarried.
Also at the time I voted, 9.30 pm, everyone was reasonably confident that the yes side was winning, so my vote was really only a protest vote. I've nothing against same sex couples but I don't agree with their union being called marraige and would like to see another name coined.
I'm not disgusted with anyone that excercised their democratic right. Even in government, the opposition votes against many items that become law. I am disappointed though that we won't be having a baby president.

    Ha Ha............

Well would you be happy with marriage being removed from the constitution altogether so and there only being constitutionally protected legal civil partnerships so?

This was not about the semantics of it all and what you think the word marriage means. This was about the legal, constitutional rights conferred on couples due to their sexual orientation. Just because one couple is an man and a woman and another two men, or two women does not mean one type of couple should enjoy constitutional protection over another type.

BTW you do understand that homosexuals can still not get religiously married? This was only about civil marriage. There is a difference and they are defined so. Religious marriage is still souly for those heterosexual couples who like to believe in fairy tales or enact their right to be hypocrites.

No, I probably wouldnt if I knew. Marriage is a commitment between two people who love each other. I dont believe anyone should have the right to say otherwise. I find it abhorrent that it was ever illegal to be gay or for gay people to get married in the first place.
I have always believed in equal rights for everyone.
I unlike you didnt grow up sharing the same beliefs about marriage as my family. The were prejudiced & it didnt feel right to me from a young age.
I have learnt in life to accept individuals for how they treat me not whether they are catholic/protestant, black/white, gay/straight. I also dont like to generalise about a whole group/section of society nor tell them how to live their lives.

If its not affecting your life why should you have the right to affect their lives.

No I never voted for civil marriage.

It was about what the word marriage means.

I just dont see why there can't be a word coined that when legislated for, would confer equalivant rights as hetro couples enjoy. Obviously I'm in the minority here, and its not going to happen, but minorities have rights to their oppinions too. It would be a boring world if we all thought the same thoughts.
The religous debate isn't for me.

It wouldnt be equality if it was to be called something else.

Nothing wrong with having a different opinion.

    Very well said lady.
It's so refreshing when an escort posts what she actually thinks instead of pandering to some bigoted fools in the hope that they may become customers.
So proud of Ireland and those in particular who flew home to vote.

So wait .... you've never been married, may not get married but dont think a gay couple who want to shouldnt be allowed to use the word 'marriage' for their union of love?

Let me think about that for a moment!

Well you were in Cashel last week and I drove past you on my way to see a lady, but it was a tough decision. I respect your right to your oppinions so I will just answer your last point. Because we live in a democracy, where issues such as this are put to the people, rather than decided behind closed doors as happens in many other countries.

& although I cant respect what your opinion is, I do respect your right to have it & voice it but in return I shall voice mine.
This is an escort community where I like to believe the people who are part of this community are much more open minded than your average joe in society. Most of you guys can be more free & honest here than you can in real life. Your also very well aware of stigma's in society towards our community, mostly us working woman & the implications they have on our lives. I hoped that this community that I am apart of would be more understanding to this vote & the struggle that gay people have. They arent asking for special rights, they dont want to be treated any different or better than you. They just want to be treated the same by therefore being able so show love & commitment & marrying their partners. Its love ffs, they just want to show love.
What business is it of yours that someone, somewhere, who you'll probably never hear of gets to show their love to each other & be able to celebrate it like me & you?

I just cant get what business it is of anyone but those getting married.
Of course I understand democracy ffs. I really just cant get why it bothers anyone else

Maybe I should have said I was disappointed in the no voters of this community but I didnt.
