I don't know of anyone who does that, so I don't think it is common place. I don't know anyone who owns an apartment. It's a huge risk doing that, as you can't just leave if found out and people (other residents) can make life very difficult.

How do you know how clients will be treated come June? The law hasn't come in to place yet. What makes you think they will treat clients worse than they do Escorts?

You do know there are currently 2 Escorts in prison in Ireland at the moment for a first offense? They were sharing an apartment.

its a way of making extra money, maybe in some cases more money than to rent it out to an ordinary person as escorts tend to make alot better money

Anyway Its about keeping everyone safe and come on the main reason you don't want to give up the job is because of the large amount you can make, can't see you going back to 10 quid an hour job when you are making 150 per hour and good luck to you but lets be honest about it
Of course it's about the money, the rest is just smoke. But I'd say it's good fun too.

I know from what i heard .... they will be harassed and things will not be the same for clients, escorts were never seen as actually criminals, escorting was never illegal you know and I know of this unfortunate case in the border region of those two young escorts that were jailed but that because in the eyes of the law they were not sharing an apartment, they were running a brothel, they were advertising themselves as a duo which really didnt help themselves and the place they was staying was raided many many times so there is the difference.
What is your take on it then..?? don't make it out to be just first offence when you don't really know the full facts, youre in the game long enough kate to know whats what but seem to forget what really is happening here

The client usually runs little risk of getting his head beaten in.
The escorts must keep this in mind as a possibility and is one reason they may weed out some potential clients , if they feel uneasy about them.
Police have often caused problems for escorts from polite requests to move on to what can sometimes approach harassment.
June 1st remains to be seen what will happen.

I understand that, but it's also a big risk, especially in light of the changes ahead. Believe me, I'm talking from experience.

It was the first time for them. They had never been pulled up before and it was not their names on the contract for the place they were staying at. Yes the place was well known and it shouldn't have been rented out, but did the girls know that?

They basically got thrown to the lions for someone else not being prepared to stop renting the place out when they were told to stop. I think it is dreadful that the girls got a jail sentence. It should not be illegal for 2 girls to work together. 2 girls don't make a brothel, or at least shouldn't be seen in that way, which is why the New Zealand model is the one that should have been used.

I don't share, or I should say I rarely share, but sometimes you crave human contact and you want conversation. There have been days where the only conversation I have had is on the phone to a client or during bookings. You can get stir crazy working on your own. There is no other job in this World that demands you work alone and the nature of the job often isolates you from the people you know and love. I can fully understand why some prefer to share and it's not just about sharing costs, as often you're only 20e better off a day anyway.

a caravan hitched to the back of the escorts car would be good idea, cheap too, a sort of walk-in sex clinic with extras,
