It's the thought police style of it which is what will probably make people vote no. I'd not vote although I don't care if it happens.

then don't pick up the leaflet...you sound like you have issues. why do people have problems with other's choice of whom to love and why do you call them idiots. because you don't agree with them. you sound a bit constipated. get real, this is the future. it's called progressive. I supposed you have no problem with escorts...and for many that is a major issue. relax and let people with an imagination and a open mind be... and love for life be.

Might have no influence on your life but your vote can be the difference between the referendum going ahead or not.

Did you know in the divorce referendum of 95' , went ahead for only 1 vote of diference? Be less selfish towards the world ,might doesn't do anything for you but can change the lives of thousands of people.

Ireland will be the first country who will decide by vote the marriage issue for the LGBT society , people will decide the fate of other people on this referendum, something that should be their right already, whiteout the need to ask the mass if they agree or not . If I could vote, would be Yes for sure.

PS>Be a less bitter person is good not only for yourself but also for your inner self too; never wondered why things might not go ahead? In any field of your life? All we need is love, if you have love, the world becomes a better place, I am not talking about love towards a person you might be romantic involved with but love in general, towards people , yourself, what you do and go on.

If you don't love things around you, the only person to be blame will be yourself. If you don't have love, create, work on it. the same way hate can be fulfilled also love too. You might read only bulshit in those lines but when you start to comprehend what I mean, things became easier. Tchau

it is not an equal issue. the point of those who want to subvert an right always say that both sides are equal, they are not when it comes to the issues. why can't people just let others do what they want as long as they don't infringe upon the rights of others. bigotry and prejudice have been the culprits of long time animosities. among ourselves for centuries. while the the billionaires laugh about it while smoking their cigars and drinking their cognacs..don't you see this is a way they keep us preoccupied and fighting with each other...it is their game and the best we can do is to stick together. we certainly have more in common with each other then those who chose to keep us down. xx Lauren

This has been a pathetic campaign from both sides. The yes side pushing some very woolly arguments the no side rebutting with some red herrings.
The very title 'marriage equality referendum' set the tone, a crime against the English language.

The fact of the matter is that over a time the importance of marriage has diminished. It will come to a point that co-habiting couples will have the same rights under the law as married people once they have children or have lived together for a set period of time.

I'm voting no as I haven't been convinced of the merits of changing the status quo

My own thoughts. Looking for something that is going out of fashion and is outdated. However, if they want it..........
