Got a fine grasp on reality there, I see. They polled more votes than the SNP and LibDems combined which sends a huge message to Westminster.
And lets be thankful Labour can't do any deals with the SNP to stitch up England and Scotland with the Swedish model which Harmon and Cooper are fighting to implement.

Since the end of the troubles I have paid little attention to who is in the government in the UK.



This has been been British policy for hundreds of years. Divide and conquer you know.

'Better the devil you know' as the saying goes. The UK economy was in a dire state when the Tories came to power, yes they implemented austerity measures, which were never going to be popular but given the state of the economy, had to be done. The UK economy is improving & recovering. Labour would have had to do a deal with the SNP to be in power, that was never going to happen. Ed Milliband was never convincing enough to be in power & the SNP wanted to be the driving force in a coalition government, the majority of voters in England didn't want to be ruled by the SNP. Labour said they wouldn't do a deal with the SNP but very few bought into this ideology. So basically, the outcome was either keep the Tories or have a Labour/SNP coalition.

Emm the U.S,France, USSR, Australia, Belgium, Brazil, Canada, China, Denmark, Greece, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Poland, South Africa, Yugoslavia....... all fought the Nazis in WW2 and Russia pretty much won the war single handly if anything Russia is still putting up two fingers to Germany/Europe now

Interesting if inaccurate take on world war two. Russia came from one side-The western allies from the other. The Russians had nothing to do with the liberation of Western Europe. As a reward they got the Soviet Union. Ask the Polish, Czechs etc what they thought of the Russians.
