Cameron doesn't necessary want to leave the EU, he just want a better deal for the UK and this will probably help Ireland too. His main gripe is about the free movement of EU members. He's not against it per say, but more about the droves of certain nationalities migrating to the UK and Ireland to access the generous Welfare systems in these countries.

But he has been backed into holding a referendum (which could likely vote to exit) by the likes of UKIP and right wing Tories biting at his heels.

Ya and the UK were the only people who stood up to the Germans in WW 2 and now again. The Germans have proved in the last few years that they have changed fuckall since they were Nazis !!! Where would they be now if they did not get large investments and large debt write down. I think the EU could be starting to fail and it is failing the people

Emm the U.S,France, USSR, Australia, Belgium, Brazil, Canada, China, Denmark, Greece, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Poland, South Africa, Yugoslavia....... all fought the Nazis in WW2 and Russia pretty much won the war single handly if anything Russia is still putting up two fingers to Germany/Europe now
