Well technically , it seems that U S style legislation will be implemented , if one reads into Frances Fitzgerald last Dail statement.

All purchasers would be criminalised.
All sellers would be criminalised - unless seller works alone ,in which case ,their landlord will be criminalised.

All while Fitzgerald tells the media at WeDon'tBuyIt that women in prostitution are victims and the exploited - so the best way to help them is to continue the current policy of criminalisation .

The minute the law is landed here, the court appeals will start.

The one thing that will actually lead to challenges and appeals being made quickly is that punters will be dragged before the courts rather than as in Sweden under the madness, receiving on the spot fines and no public court appearance!
It will get to the stage that the insanity will just have to be challenged in the courts and indeed Laura is already doing this wrt the Nordie version!
