Interest rates were too low, but would the public have wanted them higher?

Massive pay rises to keep track of house prices? Who doesn't want a massive pay rise?

Tax rates reduced as wages and consumer spending were high enough to take up the slack, Who doesn't want lower tax rates?

Massive government surplus used by government to spend on various pet projects and to satisfy lobby groups and every bleeding heart group. Who doesn't want this?

Banks pumping up property market, international credit crunch, balloon bursts and...

And would any other government have done anything different.
