Sinn Fein called on him to resign. Too fecking right.
They know you are much more likely to be abused if you come in contact with a provo perv.
Always check for lipstick or makeup transfer before you leave the apartment
"A lot may depend on how much media coverage the story gets in Britain".
The story is getting a lot of coverage in the national British press.
In the past similar bigoted comments from various parties about diverse subjects such as escorting, paying for sex, Sunday working, abortion rights and homosexuality etc. stayed in Northern Ireland and stayed in the local press.
However this time it hasn’t and there is a real possibility Jim Wells will lose his job.
It is not just a question of a bigoted remark.
He made an assertion that is factually and demonstrably not true, that is "[B]ring a child up in a homosexual relationship[,] [t]hat child is far more likely to be abused and neglected...."
If he does lose his job, it will (hopefully) send a signal to all the parties, perhaps all the parties on the island, that such untrue and prejudiced remarks are unacceptable and voicing them will have consequences.

Was this the guy who who treated Laura Lee with so much disrespect during the justice committee hearings on prostitution in the North?
This guy is a total fucktard. And an ignoramus. Luckily he is running in an nationalist stronglhold where he has no hope of winning.
The DUP were always an ignorant lot anyway
