Im sure it can be all of the above.. I think back to when i first started out with all of this, took me an awful long time to build up courage due to this.. For me i think shyness is more of a shame than anything else. Can only speak for myself but id consider myself quite shy unless im around people i feel comfortable around will then i can be the life of the party funny enough.. Have missed out on some good opportunities due to my "shyness", hopefully over time i come out of it more as i am after all still quite young.
