You think a Spanish guy called an escort whose nationality listed is Spanish but she really is genuinely Spanish and refused to see him because ......he's Spanish .....classic I hope that's what actually happened.

Yes most don't meet their own nationality.
They deal in English .
If your English is good it will help you.
Tell them you're Spanish and be pleasant and Bob may well be your uncle some time soon. (Ignore last phrase).
