Not always while its a nice gesture being not and never expected so when it does happen its a lovely surprise. On the contrary recently a gent visited me and brought the perfume i love with him. he had done his homework and got to know what i would really like. while it was a small token it was a lovely thought that was appreciated. xxx

Any time I buy perfume for a woman, the cost is not exactly token.

( mind you, Aldi do one -- I'd like to see the reaction if I handed a bottle of that over ! )
