The massage route unless the lady in question can prove she is a registered masseuse wont work imo. There have been prosecutions and convictions in this country for massage parlours in the past. as to how they will prove you visited an escort, a garda will give evidence of observing a premises, the superintendent will say his piece, and the judge wiill take their word. fine and media coverage will follow.
As far as I am aware, anyone can call themselves a massage therapist. There is no regulation or minimum qualification required. I am entitled to go to whoever I like for a massage and pay her what I like for the service.
You are confusing the proposed new law about prohibiting buying sex with the old laws against selling sex. This was usually proved by an undercover cop going into a massage parlour and being offered sex for money.
How could this work in the reverse situation? The police set up their own escort service? As it happens, I have never paid for sex. I have never had a discussion with an escort around what might or might not be available sex wise. I go in, pay the money for the girl’s time and what happens, happens. Even without this new law, if an escort started to ask me about what I wanted from her, the alarm bells would go off big time and I would get out quickly.

    Exclamation

A powerful propaganda campaign (we seen that )

A shit load of work to create a constitutional instrument

    A lot of unintended consequences

It will play out similar to the situation with illicit drugs. (A shit load of effort, but to no avail)

It's unlikely anything will go to court. You'd clog up the court system in no time.

A very risky strategy, and imo akin to believing you will always escape the bullet playing Russian roulette. Garda don`t give a toss about the courts being clogged up, and if it ever came to it happening, with all the money fines would bring in, it would be financially viable for the state to provide extra court sitting. Journalists would love that.

I think you may be confused with what is regarded as an offence, and the proof required under the new proposed law. I suggest that reading Zicooo`s post on this thread may be a help in clearing that up for you.

One thing punters woukd probably be wise to remember, is that this proposed law takes the onus off the escorts selling a service and now places it on the purchaser, so maybe not the wisest idea in the world to take advice from escorts as to how to avoid having collars felt by the long arm of the law
