Quite a lot of brothel keeping cases before the courts are already thrown out, so anti sex worker/anti sex work laws are difficult to make and enforce!

Your quite right, thats why the new amendments appear to be in reality to try and scare off punters rather than having any real chance in being used successfully in any meaningful prosecutions. Debate here shows that it may in the short term have that effect.
If experienced clients are being scared off i would think that a larger amount of newbies will definately be put off once it gets any amount of coverage at time of enactment

One of the major effects of this insane law, if not the main purpose of it, in fact, is to make life, hell on earth for sex workers, and it will definitely force a lot of sex workers to leave here! Well done, Denise Charlton and The Immigrant Council of Ireland for supporting such insanity
Of course another important aspect of it will be as a revenue generator for TORLER groups, in particular, Ruhama (whose founding orderrs of nuns, in a previous guise, ran The Magdelyne Asylums), indeed Ruhama has already been awarded in several cases by the courts the earnings/savings of sex workers convicted before the courts and deported!

Ignoring the international nonsense of terrorism and spying charges that america and russia and othes have taken part in
You have to view all this madness in the context of the JOC recommndations which included the infamous proposal to equate legally any person - Punter/Sex Worker/Teenage Child/Disabled Adult - downloading an escort relaterd site such as EI with a child rapist downloading child porn!
THAT'S HOW FUCKING INSANE THESE FUCKING LUNATICS ARE!

Can anybody, actually clarify this one for me, please!

My understanding is that the bill is at second stage meaning next it goes to dail for debate and voting.
It then goes to the sinead who have 90 days to pass it or reject or request amendments.
If passed by both houses it then goes to the president for signing.
Hard to know timelines of when it will go to dail to start the ball rolling
