    No they arent.

    Morals is about what is seemingly right, acceptable behaviour.

    Cigarettes are legal, heroin is not so therefore one is accepted by society & the other not.



    I will add I dont tend to agree with a lot of society's ideas of what is morally correct & I certainly dont mean to judge anyone.

    I don't smoke, period. I've never taken heroin. I just know that we live in a highly hypocritical
    world. Ideology and naivety have created a massive mess.

    legally they are not equal. morally, I consider them equal.

    Stephanie I wouldnt put to much faith in what a government website says about what their research suggests

    I will say though of all the cigs, alcohol & party drugs I've had over the years & there's been a lot, although never heroin. Vile drug & yes I am aware I probably come across as hypocritical!
    The only thing I am addicted to at the ripe old age of 42 is cigs.

    We use morphine in hospitals. pure heroin.
